Standard vehicle transport gives carriers more flexibility to build efficient routes and combine multiple pickups and deliveries. Expedited transport narrows that window.
Depending on the route and carrier availability, Heights may be able to arrange pickup within a few days or, in some situations, within 24 to 48 hours.
That does not mean every vehicle in every location can magically be loaded tomorrow. Remote locations, limited carrier availability and specialized equipment can still affect what is realistically possible.
Who Uses Expedited Auto Transport
Individuals may need faster transport because of a short-notice move, a vehicle purchase, an upcoming flight or an event with a specific deadline.
Businesses may need expedited shipping when a customer is waiting for a vehicle, inventory needs to reach a dealership quickly, a car is headed to a trade show or repairs need to happen on a tight schedule.
The reason changes. The underlying problem is the same: waiting two weeks is not an option.
How Heights Handles an Expedited Shipment
We start by understanding the actual deadline rather than simply labeling the shipment “urgent.” Pickup requirements, delivery timing, vehicle details and route all matter.
Once the shipment is approved, Heights immediately begins contacting carriers by phone, text and email while also using the load board to identify qualified drivers already moving through the area.
When a carrier is confirmed, we provide the carrier, dispatcher and driver information along with estimated pickup and delivery timing.
The normal carrier vetting, inspection and communication process still applies. Faster does not mean skipping the parts that matter.

Open carriers are generally more widely available, which can make them easier to match with an urgent route. Enclosed carriers are more specialized and less common, so combining enclosed transport with a very tight deadline may require additional time or cost.
Pickup and Delivery Guarantees Need a Real Conversation
There is an important difference between asking Heights to try to expedite a shipment and requiring a guaranteed pickup or delivery window.
If the date absolutely cannot move, tell us that at the beginning. Meeting a hard deadline may require paying a premium to secure a carrier willing to adjust an existing route or commit specifically to your shipment.
Weather, traffic, mechanical issues and other delays can still affect transportation once the vehicle is on the road, so expectations need to be clear before the truck is assigned.
Sometimes Expedited Shipping Is Not Necessary
If your timeline is flexible, standard transport will usually give you more carrier options and a lower cost.
There may also be situations where a little creative planning solves the timing problem. For example, a vehicle heading to a show could potentially be delivered earlier and stored nearby rather than requiring an exact delivery appointment at a premium rate.
