Not every available truck is automatically the right truck for a shipment. Before working with a carrier, we review information that can include DOT safety performance, operating qualifications, insurance coverage and the equipment the carrier plans to use.

Insurance receives particular attention. We review carrier insurance information and supporting documentation as part of our process because a certificate on a screen does not mean much if the coverage behind it has not been properly reviewed.

The Driver Matters Just as Much as the Truck

Equipment and paperwork are only part of the equation. We also want to understand the experience and capabilities of the person who will actually be handling the shipment.

That means communicating directly with drivers and asking questions about their experience, equipment and the type of vehicle or freight they will be moving. A driver hauling a standard passenger vehicle may need a different skill set than someone loading a non-running vehicle with a winch or operating a multi-car enclosed trailer.

Clear communication matters too. Customers, carriers and our team all need to be able to understand one another when coordinating pickup, loading, transit and delivery.

Experience Should Match the Shipment

Different vehicles require different handling. A driver moving a restored classic, high-performance vehicle, restomod, luxury car or automotive component should understand what makes that shipment different from moving an everyday vehicle.
